Of course, the folks who embrace the fact that homosexual practice is a sin – and cannot be defined as anything less than sin respond just as we all realize. ie: so long as you conservative-traditionalists call homosexual practice a sin, you are clearly rejecting us regardless of whatever you say. So we are angry and being rejected completely. They will never acquiesce to anything less than embracing their sinful life and in the end it is a complete waste to pretend differently. Sin cannot exist in a loving embrace with God and the church must be holy or it falls. If the church says sin and holy can co-exist, they are telling God that He must accept sinful lives as tolerable. How can we tolerate such insanity? Not in my book.
And, contrary to the party of “toleration of sin is OK” or “can’t be helped” I for one do not want to be in any church which takes a stand contrary to God.
Sone wish we could do just that – “peace at any price” – but we cannot and must not or the whole house collapses in very short order.
