This is probably the best day to say “Thanks” to everyone who has impacted my life!
Thanks to my father, Paul, who married my mother, Bernice, and their openness to have given life to myself and my two brothers, Pat and Jim. They had their own struggles but made us their priority. They worked with us and for us. They gave us our foundation in faith and brought us to God.They are now in eternity and I am convinced are still laboring on our behalf Lord, bless dad and mom especially on my birthday!
Thanks for my brothers, Pat and Jim and the countless things we shared over many years. Thanks for the good brothers they were to and for me. They have always been loving and caring and thoughtful to me.
Thanks for my wife of 46 years, Nancy who builds me up in faith, love, and hope. No one ever had a more loving and caring partner in life as I have in her. Thanks for the privilege of bearing and raising Michael Jr. and Amy. Thanks for their constancy in love and their enthusiasm in life which flows through them and their spouses, Laura and David and through our grandchildren: Sara, Jared, Allison, Mark and Matthew. They are fountains of joy and happiness and the promise of a better world than they came into.
Thanks for aunts and uncles and cousins – thanks for my aunt/Godmother Hazel who still holds down the fort” back in Iowa – she is a treasure. Thanks for tough times and little to spend – thanks for school and Church and jobs and retirement. Thanks for sickness and health and challenges always.
Thanks for forgiveness of faults and sins – of which I have more than my share – blessings upon blessings from my Lord Jesus and my Father God and the Holy Spirit.
There are not enough pages to continue – just too much to put down since every thought evokes a hundred new reasons to give thanks.
If someone wants to consider a response, a prayer is best- they are the most treasured of all gifts!
